Japanese Emotion in Country of Lion （獅子の国にも和の花を）
Presented by Kagura NPO Singapore
Minami, a head of NPO Sato-Kagura and Jindai-Kagura Society Singapore Branch, has been deeply missing Japanese music and Japanese grace ever since she came to Singapore. To thank the people of Singapore for accepting her, Minami has decided to perform a special Kagura, embracing Singapore’s culture and energy.
Toshihiko Kato, Director of the NPO, will also make a special appearance to introduce traditional Japanese performing art, including the Lion Dance and entertaining Kagura. Also joined by Mai Suzuki, member of Wazaogui, we will perform new Kagura and a wide range of other types of Japanese dance and music.
Even among the Japanese, the number of people who aren’t familiar with Japanese culture is on the rise. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to come into contact with real traditional music and Kagura, which is hard to experience even in Japan. With all our hearts to Singapore, we will be performing a cross-cultural Kagura. We hope you all have a pleasant evening.
